Nadege is a Belgian wrestler of Indian-Creole decent. Born on Reunion Island, Nadege has lived in Belgium since childhood and has Belgian citizenship. Nadege began her wrestling career near Rochefort, Belgium under the tutelage of the great Beatrice Goffin. A naturally gifted athlete, Nadege has developed into one of Europe's finest women wrestlers. In addition to her formative training under Beatrice, Nadege has also trained in Brazilian Ju Jitsu and "catch as catch can" styles of grappling. In 2008 Nadege competed and medaled in a NAGA tournament in NY. In addition to wrestling Nadege also competes frequently in catfight contests, both competitive and story line. Nadege has fought and performed in hundreds of matches for major production companies such as [[DWW]], [[APL]], [[AS FILM]], and [[Amazon Productions]]. She is currently co-owner of her own production company called American Belgian Women Fighting. In her 17 year career Nadege has suffered several injuries which have necessitated some brief time away from fighting. Most recently she suffered a torn ACL in 2014 while fighting the much larger Anna Konda of Germany. Nadege underwent knee surgery in the summer of 2014 to repair the damage. She has since recovered and has participated in matches in 2015 with Xana (Belgium), Daniel (Netherlands), and Celia (Belgium). UPDATE: Nadege passed away January 30th, 2018 after a 5 month battle with cancer.

This fight took place in the second evening of the DWW 2001 summer event held near Budapest in Hungary. Nadege and Edita had already met on the wrestling mat in the afternoon where Nadege had won by 2 submissions to 0 in a long and hard fought match. As this would be Nadege's first boxing match it was widely anticipated that Edita would get revenge. Just 32 seconds into the fight Edita suddenly fell to the canvas gripping her abdomen and groaning in pain. The referee, affectionately known as "[[Jeff the Ref]]", immediately stopped the match and after a short time the medical team were called who escorted Edita to the ambulance for treatment. The referee determined that Edita had been struck by an unintentional "low blow" and declared the match a no-contest. However, several in the crowd disagreed with this decision and claimed that Nadege had punched Edita in the abdomen with a legitimate body blow. The referee refused to accept these claims from the crowd and so the match remained a no-contest for the remainder of the event.

We now have the video and we can replay it in slow motion and see that indeed the members of the crowd who disagreed with the referee were correct. Just 20 seconds into the fight Nadege dodged a left head punch from Edita and as she did so she threw a left punch of her own into the right side of Edita's abdomen. As can be seen in the picture below, the referee is directly behind Edita, so he never saw the punch! It look several seconds for Edita to react to the blow and fall to the canvas in pain. The whole incident was over so quickly that it took most of the crowd by surprise, but a few members of the audience with a clear view did see Nadege's amazing blow that felled her bigger opponent so abruptly. So in fact Nadege won her very first boxing match by a KO in just 20 seconds, which must be something of a record!

Edita was discharged by the medical team after some 30 minutes and suffered no lasting harm from the blow.

Puma was introduced to Beatrice Goffin by her friend and gym mate, Anne Hurricane. Puma first trained with Anne in boxing and kickboxing in 2002. After two ameature fights Puma began to train with Beatrice and Michele, Beatrice's husband in female submission wrestling. By 2003 Puma was making custom Fem vs Fem and mixed matches for Beatrice's production company was well as APL and ASFLIM. Puma made Fem wrestling, cat fights, and mixed matches at a prolific rate from 2003-2006 in Belgium, Germany, Portugal, Austria, England, and the USA. Her last competitive tournament was for ASFILM where she made 3 topless competitive and 1 cat fight in October 2006. Puma then fully retired.

Puma's style is best described as "catch as catch can." A blend of folk style and submission grappling. This style was very popular with the production companies of the day as it allowed for no joint locks or chokes which made for longer and more difficult matches better suited to audiences and video format. Petite, strong, and stocky, (a bit like a gymnast's build) this style suited Puma well and in competitive matches against girls of similar size and ability Puma won more matches than she lost.

Puma's retirement in 2006 was precipitated by a shoulder injury sustained in a competitive match at DWW in the summer of 2005. A tough girl, she finished the tournament winning 3 out of 4 matches. The injury required surgery to correct and, in the writer's opinion, was part of the reason Puma retired.

Puma is remembered for her beautiful smile, voluptuous body, bubbly personality, and fighting ability. Fully retired and detached from female combat, she lives quietly with her son in Wallonia (Belgium).
