Marion tried out competitive wrestling for the first time in a 1994 DWW event. Her sports background had ensured she was fit and toned, but she was faced with a very tough opponent in [[Timea]] who was best described as strong, aggressive, mean and sometimes brutal. Marion did well for the first six minutes of the match, resisting Timea's pins and submission attempts and taking the fight to her opponent from time to time, but she was then caught in powerful bodyscissors which quickly forced her to submit. When the fight resumed Marion was soon worn down by Timea's relentless aggression and rough tactics, spending nearly all her time flattened on the canvas by her opponent before she submitted to a body-press pin. The match continued for a short while afterwards but Marion was clearly becoming exhausted and, since Timea had already shown earlier in the event that she was not afraid to hurt an opponent, [[Jeff the Ref|Jeff]] decided to halt the bout early before Marion suffered an injury. It was unfortunate that Marion was given this particular match, which probably deterred her from wrestling again for DWW, because she looked to have real potential.

The match was a curious affair which was constantly interrupted by comments/instructions from the off-screen organisers (there being no actual referee present), and was finally called off after barely four minutes of actual wrestling. Possibly the organisers were concerned about choke holds being used by Beata but the reason was far from clear - it was all the more unfortunate as the girls had produced some energetic fighting up until that point. A caption was displayed on the video stating that proceedings had been "''interrupted and stopped since things were getting out of hand''" - quite what this actually meant was not clarified verbally in English and there was no obvious sign of the girls losing their tempers. The time and money wasted in booking the girls and setting up this match clearly showed the necessity of having a competent referee in place to ensure rules are understood and followed.
