-Christie continued to out box Melanie throughout rounds 3 and 4 with the young Ukrainian taking a number of blows to the head that had her staggering. In the break between the final rounds Melanie was slumped over the ropes looking rather shattered.  But despite this she still came out for round five with gloves raised determined to go the distance. Christie didn’t let up at all in the final round and pummelled Melanie with a series of punches that made certain the final result of the fight.  When the fight finally ended Melanie left the ring and it looked for a few seconds as if she was not going to return to allow the referee to declare the result. However, after a short period Melanie re-entered the ring to have the result declared.  The crowd applauded both fighters for their energy and determination and Melanie for her endurance!
