+This match featured the experienced Barbara against Herta, a newcomer to DWW. Since Barbara enjoyed a 25lb weight advantage as well as being 3" taller than her opponent it was assumed that Herta would struggle to cope, but in the event this proved not to be the case. In a bout over eight 1-minute rounds Herta soon showed she was not intimidated by the  bigger girl and confidently stepped forward time and again to match Barbara punch for punch, in particular finding her range for big right hand shots. Barbara also enjoyed noisy vocal support from the audience, but Herta was unaffected by this and was able to quieten the crowd as she began to repeatedly pick Barbara off. At the end of the 7th round Barbara was looking tired, sweaty and dispirited in her corner whereas Herta still looked fresh and ready to box. Halfway through the 8th round Herta caught Barbara with another head punch which sent the Czech boxer reeling into her corner area - [[Jeff the Ref|Jeff]] began counting a standing count, but it became clear before he had finished that Barbara was done for the day. Herta received a deserved ovation from the crowd as a tearful Barbara looked on.<br>
