 Lois was in superb physical shape when she entered the ring but there was no doubt she faced a tough bout against the formidable Ziggy, who was an experienced fighter and who enjoyed a 17lb weight advantage. Both girls began the 6-round bout at a fast pace and Ziggy soon found her range to inflict a series of powerful punches on her opponent. It appeared that the fight might be over quickly but Lois displayed real courage and determination, taking the punches but also taking her opportunities to connect with some hard right-hand punches to Ziggy's head. As the fight progressed both boxers started to throw volleys of punches and Lois was put on the mat by a fierce body blow, but she recovered to continue the furious battle. Neither boxer was taking much account of defence and some amazing exchanges took place, with Ziggy clearly surprised that Lois was not only able to absorb her heaviest shots but could also respond with fierce counter-punching. The action never slowed down for a moment and the level of fitness displayed by both fighters was remarkable as they pounded each other relentlessly with only occasional clinches. By the end both were soaked with sweat and had produced a match worthy of comparison with any female boxing video, with Ziggy earning the narrowest of points victories.<br>
