 Puma's style is best described as "catch as catch can." A blend of folk style and submission grappling. This style was very popular with the production companies of the day as it allowed for no joint locks or chokes which made for longer and more difficult matches better suited to audiences and video format. Petite, strong, and stocky, (a bit like a gymnast's build) this style suited Puma well and in competitive matches against girls of similar size and ability Puma won more matches than she lost.

 Puma's retirement in 2006 was precipitated by a shoulder injury sustained in a competitive match at DWW in the summer of 2005. A tough girl, she finished the tournament winning 3 out of 4 matches. The injury required surgery to correct and, in the writer's opinion, was part of the reason Puma retired.
