== Notable matches ==

====Danni (5’9”, 124 lbs) vs. Rachel (5’6”, 133 lbs) - FV134====
The match was fought in spring 1997 at a venue in south west London and was refereed by the well known [[Jeff the Ref]]. Rachel was a newcomer to Festelle while Danni was known to the audience from previous events. Danni had a reputation as a feisty and hot tempered fighter with a vicious streak which she was to demonstrate in this fight.

In the opening moments of the fight it looked like the two fighters might be evenly matched, but just 90 seconds into the match Danni took control with a tight bodyscissor and headlock clinch. Rachel tried to escape, but Danni held her tightly not allowing Rachel to move. After 15 seconds Danni rolled herself and Rachel over and pressed Rachel’s head hard against the mat with her forearm. As Rachel struggled to free herself Danni wrapped her arms around Rachel’s neck and pulled her head back in a classic sleeper chokehold. Rachel submitted almost immediately and then lay on the mat holding her neck as Danni got to her feet. It had taken just over two minutes for Danni to get the first point. As Danni walked away Rachel complained to the ref that it was an illegal chokehold and she continued to complain during the break that followed.

The fight restarted with Danni taking control from the beginning and she soon had Rachel trapped in a painful looking neck twisting headlock. Rachel tried to escape by putting her hand over Danni’s mouth, but this move was ineffective and Danni mocked Rachel’s efforts by pretending to eat out of her hand. When at last Rachel managed to twist out of the headlock Danni rolled her over and stretched her out in a bodyscissors. Rachel held out for just a few seconds before submitting for a second time. The round had lasted just 2 minutes.

After a short break the fight was restarted and again Danni wasted no time in taking Rachel down in a headlock. Once again Rachel tried to break Danni’s hold by putting her hand over Danni’s mouth and once again it was ineffective. When Rachel twisted her body energetically it looked for a moment as if she would escape from Danni’s clutches, but Danni then locked a powerful headscissors on Rachel which brought an immediate submission. Danni released her hold and pushed Rachel off her legs in a brutal gesture of contempt. It had taken just one minute for Danni to get her third point.

At the start of the fourth round Danni skipped mockingly round Rachel saying “Come on entertain me!” Rachel responded by grabbing Danni in a headlock and taking her to the mat, but within seconds Danni was on top of her opponent and had taken control once again. Soon Danni had Rachel on her knees in a vicious twisting headlock. Danni suddenly released the headlock and grabbing Rachel’s head between her knees she flipped Rachel over onto her back. Within seconds Danni snapped a well executed headscissors on Rachel which brought her immediately submission – the fourth of the match. That round had taken just 90 seconds.
