Joan Wise

Joan Wise, an ex-Olympic standard swimmer and herself an active wrestler until the mid-1980's, set up the Joan Wise Club in New York in around 1975. The club staged events featuring many of the best-known names from the female fighting genre over the years. These included Nikki Norris, Tori Sinclair, Treena Collins, Tina Bjornson, Robin, Lisa Marie, Luna, Raven (Nancy), Nancy Novak, Blake and Bunny Glamazon.

The events were filmed and distributed by Joan Wise Productions, which soon became widely known as a classic producer of predominantly scripted semi-competitive and erotic wrestling videos featuring women dominating over both men and women. This company ceased production some time in the early 2000's.
