Mildred Burke was one of the pioneers of womens wrestling. She began her career wrestling for promoter Billy Wolfe in circus & carnaval side shows (wrestling all comers, & defeating over 200 men in the process), & ended by operating Millie's Gym, an early source for 8mm wrestling films.
