Hi, Anita X is a duplicate wrestler page can be deleted

Hi there,

I see you and I are two of the top contributors lately. Just wanted to say you do great contributions and have a couple questions. First do you know how to delete wrestler pages if they are duplicates or need to be changed. For example Lara (Alphacatz), and Orsi S I made both blank since that wrestler already exists. Can those two headers just be deleted completely?

Also Anita X. is the exact same person as Anita, and I transferred all her information to Anita's page so I think Anita X can just be deleted. Other question I had would be how do you upload photos into the gallery section? There are a lot of photos I would like to add for wrestlers but don't know how. Thanks for all your help Jq000004!

    Hi!

I did wonder what was going on with Anita X and now you've explained I can understand why you blanked the entry. As far I'm aware only Zweig can actually delete pages or rename them, so it's a question of passing the request on to him - we both have Bureaucrat status but that's not sufficient to do this. I suppose it makes sense to prevent any malicious deletion by any contributor.

Uploading files should be straightforward enough - use File upload from the Creation tools if you are loading a single file, which gives you the opportunity to describe what it is. It asks you to select the file name, so you just have to click on it within whatever folder you have it stored and it gets displayed. Add description and then action the upload. If you have a lot of files you wish to upload then better to use Multiple File Upload where you repeatedly add in file names in the same way as before. No descriptions can be added if you use this facility but that's not hugely important since you can do this within the gallery it will end up in. The syntax for the gallery section identifies the file name and details so once your uploads are complete just enter it. TBH if there is no gallery already present I usually just go to another wrestler entry and copy the relevant section, then paste it in and amend as required.

Hope this is of assistance and keep up the good work! If you are still encountering difficulties let me know. There were some more active contributors previously but they seem to have become rare visitors at the moment - as you will be aware the project is essentially never-ending so glad to have you on board.
