Guys, the girls' measurements info is annoying me. What are we doing, selling sofas? Measurements change constantly. I'm happy with height and weight(s), the rest is redundant imo, and makes us look superficial.

In order to maintain the legality of the wiki we need to remove all personal information from wrestler pages. I'm unsure at which point they started slipping in, but I take all the blame for being distant from the project.

No real names

This one is the most crucial. Unless the wrestler actively uses their real name, these need to be removed. I have removed what I could find via a quick search. Please find and remove what's left.

No date of birth

The dates of birth need to be removed. Year is fine. So, we keep this line in the infobox:

| birth_date = 1977

No place of birth

The birth place line needs to go from the infobox if present.

No other personal information

I found a page which says the city that the wrestler currently lives in and what kind of family they have. This can't be.

I'm unsure how much information is currently available, but from the looks of it, shouldn't be a huge amount. If I'm mistaken about that, let me know, I will try to automate this with a script directly in the database.

oh, and:

No boob evaluations

We are not a boobs site or a porn portal. This is not required. It cheapens the wrestler pages to the level of unlubricated masturbation. Come on.

Hi Zweig, just to clarify something - the Santana page you've recently amended does contain her real name under the "Born" heading. Are we saying that this heading should be for birth year only with no birth name ever shown? Regards, JQ

Hi, JQ, Edited the Santana page to reflect the new policy. Yes, birth year is fine. No birth name / real name, unless the wrestler uses it in the scene.

Hi Zweig, I notice that after the recent amendments the Results box has changed in that the setting "won" no longer triggers the format to show green colour. The colour does however change for the "draw" and "lost" settings, to blue and red respectively. Just wondered if you've got any thoughts on this? Thanks, JQ

Yo Zweig, you really need to update the Wrestler Box template. Come on man. Birth name should not be listed as an option. Birth date should be rephrased to say Birth Year. And Birth place should not be listed as an option. Right now the site is openly asking for information which is deemed as too private.

Dear Wiki,

I have edited the Editing_WrestleWiki page:

Dates Changed the dates of matches back to 2020/11 format. This keeps the match list sortable (unlike putting the name of the month). Changed the date format back to YYYY/MM/DD - this keeps everything consistent.

Relevant Links Relevant links need to be at the end before category pages. I moved them back there.

Gallery styling Removed the p align html code from gallery styling, instead updated the css, so all galleries now have text aligned in the middle. It does look neater.

Check the default Petra page for these changes.

These need to change on all wrestler pages. So, if you have nothing better to do, go ahead and do these changes. I will have some time in July and will get a script to automate these changes, so no worries.

Also, added a lightbox to all images.

What do you mean by lightbox?

Images when clicked pop out and are browsable with arrow keys, instead of opening in a new tab.

What name is proper protocol on this site for official name on a profile? There are several wrestlers listed here that go by a more popular name when they do other work/social media than what they use for wrestling work. For example, Julia Assange is Kim-Ly & Kety Pearl is Luna. Should those names be added as Other Names or their Name?

Would a link to iafd profiles be considered a relevant link?

Answering your question as one of the main contributors to WrestleWiki, the approach has always been that the name should normally be that used by the wrestling company for which the wrestler works. The Other Names should be used for any other identities, whether they be wrestling-related or not. To me IAFD wouldn't appear to be especially relevant to a wrestling site but, as it would only be a link, readers can choose whether or not to follow it. Hope this helps! JQ

I'd like to add the results of Hollywood's match, can't I add a pro style? Most of the matches are fantasy wrestling because she is afraid of competitive wrestling. thanks!

Hi, I set up the original Jeanne Basone/Hollywood page but I agree with what you're saying and can change it accordingly if you wish. I'd create a new Competitive section and rename the existing one Semi-Competitive - which is what most of her matches actually are. Is this what you would want?

I wanted to add content to her page, but I'm afraid it'll violate the rules here. Since Hollywood became frightened of competitive wrestling after her leg broke during a private match in 1998, the only match she could add to her page was fantasy wrestling.

Hi, I've amended the page to clearly separate genuine competitive matches from the semi-competitive or fantasy, so whatever content you have in mind will have its own section. Hope that helps.
