Darian was a wrestler who fought in one bout for Video Sports, and also for California Wildcats where she was billed as Melinda and appeared in two semi-competitive matches. She was originally a police officer in Australia who had changed career to modelling and dancing, subsequently moving to USA because of the greater range of opportunities. She had previously done some mud and jello wrestling but had never taken part in a serious competitive match before appearing in a Video Sports event.
