Manuela fought for DWW at a number of their events in the early 1990s. She was an experienced fighter before her arrival at DWW, having been the runner up in the European Jujitsu championship. At the first DWW public events in 1991 and 1992 she overwhelmed all her opponents, female and male, to become DWW’s undisputed champion. However, she lost her unbeaten status when she came up against the veteran French fighter Marie-Laure at the summer event in 1993. This event appears to be the last one at which she fought.
She also visited Festelle in 1992 for the Austrian Challenge event in which she took on two of Festelle's most powerful wrestlers - Sherry and Marilyn - in addition to the formidable visiting Swiss wrestler Katya. She even found time to fit in a mixed bout as well.
