Kathy is a recently retired English session wrestler. A world class grappler, Kathy was well versed in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. She has competed at the highest stage of the sport by competing in prestigious tournaments such as FILA back in 2007, ADCC qualifying tournaments, NAGA and IBJJF who are the biggest organisation that run Brazilian Jiu Jitsu tournaments all over the world. A list of some of her accomplishments:
- 2007 World Grappling Games bronze medalist
- 2007 ADCC UK Nationals – 2nd place
- 2008 Grappling World Championship – 4th place
- 2005 Naga Worlds - 3rd place (No-gi)
Fellow wrestler Helen Von Mott released a list of top 10 most skilled female submission wrestlers and Kathy was listed as no.1. Despite her small frame, Kathy is extremely strong and uses her excellent technique to control and submit her opponents at will.
Kathy was a regular fixture at Monica's Wrestling Centre, participating in multiple events taking on wrestlers such as Lina, Jet - LWS, Pippa L'Vinn, Jenny Sjodin. She can also be seen competing at the Berlin Fight Expo back in 2004 for Femwin. Probably her most impressive win was her match against Ziggy. Ziggy is a phenomenal wrestler in her own right, but Kathy controlled the match from start to finish, and Ziggy simply had no answer to Kathy’s offense or her arsenal of submissions.
Even though she no longer wrestles or offer sessions, the legacy she left behind will never be forgotten and she will always be remembered.
