Beginning at age 19, she had a very active career from 1988 to 1990, and had particularly strong showings in tournaments, championing the 8-Woman Nude Tournament in late 1989, and reaching the finals of the February 1988 Novices Tournament and the May 1988 16-Woman Tournament.
