Other information

The inaugural LGIS (New) 1994 tournament featured a newcomer, Nicole Hartwig AKA Cassia, who rapidly became the focal point of the group. She was designated as "Captain" or sometimes vice-president, and as such accepted all challenges to box or wrestle. A powerful and relentless fighter she fought in a huge number of competitive matches of all types, particularly boxing matches, while also refereeing bouts, introducing/interviewing fighters and generally being the face of the company. Her view of female fighting was - "Fighting - wrestling as well as boxing - means hurting the opponent as well as taking the risk of getting hurt yourself, and not being afraid of either outcome."

By around 2000 the LGIS (New) group seemed to have become dormant with no new material appearing. However in 2003-2004 there was another, short-lived revival, this time fronted by middle-aged fight enthusiast Thalli but with Cassia still involved. This group set up a new website - Munich Wildcats - and for a time their new videos together with all ex-LGIS videos were available there. The site was also affiliated to the Kontex network for several years. The revived company seemed to be operating on a very low budget with matches staged in ordinary rooms in houses, and with only a small roster of girls to work with. All activity had ceased by around 2007.

1995 LGIS (New) MW-6-4 Jenny Dawson KO Boxing Topless This was the first semi-final of a boxing tournament. Jenny opened the match in a positive frame of mind, hitting her larger opponent with some good hard punches, but the longer the fight lasted the more Cassia began to dominate with her constant and aggressive attacks. The match was only going to end in one way and that end finally came in round four when Cassia floored Jenny with a solid punch from which the English girl could not recover N/a Cassia-JennyD1.jpg
1995 LGIS (New) MW-6-6 Silke Roth KO Boxing Topless Cassia and Silke went after each other from the start in a ferocious slugfest, in the course of which Cassia suffered a split lip. The referee was concerned about the injury and wanted to stop the fight - however Cassia declined to retire. By the 5th round she was getting the better of her opponent and then knocked her down. Silke got up but Cassia was now rampant and, disregarding her bloodied mouth, she delivered a brutal blow to her jaw which put her straight to the canvas for a KO defeat N/a Cassia-SilkeR.jpg
1995 LGIS (New) MW-8-6 Jenny Dawson Pts Boxing Topless Jenny took on Cassia, looking for revenge for her previous KO defeat. The match was restricted to three rounds which was an advantage to Jenny since Cassia was increasingly dangerous and aggressive once she sensed her opponent was tiring. Jenny defended herself well and got in some telling punches of her own, but Cassia scored with a greater number of shots and deservedly took the points decision against a game and determined opponent N/a Cassia-JennyD2 .jpg
1996? LGIS (New) MW-44-2 Jenny Dawson KO Boxing Topless In an 8-round epic battle Jenny held her own for over half the fight, attacking whenever she could. However the more powerful Cassia then took charge, knocking her opponent down more than once and then handing her a sustained and brutal beating which was ended by the referee, who was forced to step in to halt the bout with Jenny trapped on the ropes and unable to defend herself N/a Cassia-JennyD.JPG

Notable opponents

Cassia had an ongoing rivalry with ex-GMC fighters Silke Roth and Christiane but her most memorable matches were her boxing bouts with fans' favourite, the fearless English-born Jenny Dawson.
