Yasmin vs. Carmen Philips

TPC 96-4

The fight between Carmen and Yasmin took place in a gym in Norfolk, England during April 1996. Yasmin had been fighting for TPC for about a year, but Carmen was new to the sport.

This was a really, good, hard match, with both women trying their utmost for a win. Yasmin, who weighed 120 lb and stood 5’7”, was at something of a physical disadvantage as Carmen was both three inches taller and twenty pounds heavier. Despite this disadvantage Yasmin fought like a tiger throughout the match, refusing to consider this size disadvantage in her approach. The fight started well for Yasmin, but as the match continued Carmen’s extra weight and height started to tell and for the last 10 minutes of the fight she dominated Yasmin mercilessly. The final score was 6-3 to Carmen, but in compensation Yasmin was awarded a trophy for the best up-and-coming wrestler of 1995.
