Debbie S vs. Lisa C

This match between specialist boxer Lisa and novice Debbie was one of the best boxing bouts ever recorded by Festelle. Fought over three 2-minute rounds, it featured non-stop action from start to finish as the girls tore into each other with a vengeance. Lisa had previously shown herself to be a skilful boxer but here she was drawn into a wild slugfest by her opponent. Debbie had a completely fearless attitude and was prepared to go toe-to-toe in some ferocious exchanges. Her inexperience meant she was several times caught unawares by Lisa, and she took some solid punches to the head as a result, but she was not intimidated and came back strongly with her own punches. Cheered on by the audience both girls put everything into the fight, and both looked exhausted at the final bell. Referee Jeff announced the result as a draw, and both boxers seemed satisfied with this although it certainly appeared Lisa had landed more punches during the course of the fight. Debbie was congratulated by Anita, her second, and deserved much credit for her game attitude considering she had to soak up some heavy punishment at times.
