Beatrice Goffin is widely considered as one of the pioneers of female submission wrestling. She was the first among submission wrestlers who traveled constantly doing private sessions and taking part in various events throughout Europe, as well as in United States.
Beatrice started wrestling in 1976 as a means to stay fit. She met an acquaintance every week in her apartment to train and explore her newly found love of wrestling. In late 1970s Beatrice and her husband husband Michel Vieujean formed a female wrestling club - Les Lutteuses Rochefortoises (The Female Wrestlers of Rochefort). Her professional achievements include:
- two times Belgian freestyle wrestling champion
- the first European Women's Wrestling Championship in 1982 - 1st place (pinning Nicole Verhote in the final fight)
- the first Women's Wrestling World Championship in 1986 (only 4 countries involved) - 2nd place (behind french Sylvie Maret)
During her lifetime she has wrestled for such companies as Festelle, Ealer Dayton, Ringside Productions and Athena2.
In late 1990s Beatrice switched to training and never appeared wrestling in public or for a production company since. Instead she focused on training her students. She has trained such great submission wrestlers as Nadege, Xana & Puma.
In 2005 due to her and her husband's legal problems of unknown nature, Beatrice closed her club and disappeared from the submission wrestling scene completely.
